Online Theravāda Buddhism Workshops 2026. "Restraint of the Senses" with Ajahn Brahmali

Online Theravāda Buddhism Workshops 2026 with Ajahn Brahmali.

We warmly invite you to the first weekend of the 4th Theravāda Buddhism Workshops 2026, devoted to restraint of the senses (indriyasaṃvara) – an important aspect of Buddhist practice that helps develop mindfulness, wisdom, and inner balance in everyday life.

Over the course of two sessions, Ajahn Brahmali will explain the significance of sense restraint in the Buddha's teachings and show how we can relate consciously and wisely to what we experience through sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and the mind.

We will look at how contact with the world of the senses gives rise to craving and aversion, and how, through mindfulness, we can gradually free ourselves from habitual reactions.

We will also learn how the practice of sense restraint supports calm, concentration of the mind, and the development of meditation, becoming an important part of the path leading to deeper understanding and liberation.

The second weekend of the workshops (19–20 December 2026) will be led by Ajahn Mudito, who will continue the theme of sense restraint and its significance in Dhamma practice.

We warmly invite you to explore the Buddha's teachings together and to develop your practice in everyday life.
